Turkey is the most content-dense trip within four hours of Dubai. One country gets you a genuine world city, a volcanic landscape you sleep inside, and an Aegean coast that rivals Greece at a lower price. The mistake almost everyone makes is trying to fit all three into five nights.

Sample itinerary — the seven-night shape

Day 1 · Evening flight from Dubai, private transfer into Sultanahmet or Karaköy.

Day 2 · Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque at opening, then the Basilica Cistern before the queues build.

Day 3 · Bosphorus by private boat in the afternoon, Asian side for dinner.

Day 4 · Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar with a guide who knows which doors to go through, then the flight to Kayseri.

Day 5 · Balloon at sunrise. Back to the cave suite for breakfast. Göreme open-air museum in the cool of the afternoon.

Day 6 · Ihlara valley or the underground cities, pottery in Avanos, sunset over Red Valley.

Day 7 · Fly Kayseri–Istanbul–Dubai, or spend the last night in Istanbul if the timings suit.

What's included — and what isn't

Where you'll stay

In Istanbul, the choice is Sultanahmet for walking distance to the monuments, or Karaköy and Beyoğlu for a city that is still awake at ten. We book more of the second than the first.

In Cappadocia you stay in a cave — genuinely carved into rock, with a terrace facing the valley so the balloons come up in front of you. Göreme and Uchisar are the two bases worth having.

On the coast, Bodrum's peninsula is the reliable choice for hotels and beach clubs; the Turquoise Coast further east is better if you want a gulet and less interested in a scene.

When to go from the UAE

April to June and September to October. Istanbul is comfortable, Cappadocia's balloons fly most mornings, and the Aegean is warm enough without August's crowds.

July and August are hot and busy, though the coast handles it better than the cities do. Cappadocia in winter has snow on the rock valleys and is genuinely beautiful, but balloon cancellations rise sharply.

If the balloon matters more than anything else, go in September or October — statistically the most reliable flying weather of the year.

How much is a Turkey package from Dubai?

From about AED 4,900 per person twin-share for five nights in Istanbul with flights, AED 8,200 for seven nights adding Cappadocia and a balloon flight, and AED 13,800 for a ten-night itinerary that adds the coast. All indicative and quoted firm against your dates.

How long is the flight from Dubai to Istanbul?

Roughly four hours direct, with several carriers on the route daily. Cappadocia is a further ninety minutes by domestic flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir, which we book as part of the package.

Do UAE residents need a visa for Turkey?

It depends on your passport nationality. Many nationalities obtain a Turkish e-visa online in minutes and some enter visa-free. We confirm the requirement for every traveller in the party before booking.

Can you guarantee the Cappadocia balloon flight?

No, and nobody honestly can — flights are cancelled for wind and it is a safety call made on the morning. What we do is schedule the balloon on the first available morning rather than the last, so a cancellation still leaves a second chance before you fly out.

Is seven nights enough for Istanbul and Cappadocia?

Yes, comfortably — three or four nights in Istanbul and three in Cappadocia is the right split. Trying to add the coast inside seven nights is the most common mistake and it turns a good trip into a series of airports.
