Thailand Packages from Dubai

Curated by our Dubai concierge desk · Updated October 2026

Thailand is the long-haul trip that doesn't feel long from Dubai. Six hours to Bangkok or Phuket, three hours ahead, and a hotel culture that is, at the top end, as good as anywhere in Asia. The mistake most people make is trying to see all of it in one week.

These are the three shapes we book most. For the beaches, villas and tables themselves, read our Phuket little black book.

The Gulf of Thailand (Samui) and the Andaman Sea (Phuket) have opposite rainy seasons, which is why we pick the coast by month, not by preference.

Tell us the month. We will tell you which coast is actually in season.

Which coast, and why the month decides it

Phuket and Krabi sit on the Andaman Sea — best November to April, with the most dramatic scenery: karsts, Phang Nga Bay, sunsets over the water.

Koh Samui is in the Gulf of Thailand, and runs on a different calendar. It is at its best February to August, and quieter and more villa-led than Phuket.

Bangkok earns two nights at the start, not more. The riverside hotels are among the best city hotels in the world, and the food is the reason to stop.

When to go from the UAE

November to April is Andaman high season — calm seas, dry weather, the highest rates. It also lines up neatly with Dubai's winter holidays.

The UAE summer is the case for Samui: while the Andaman coast is in its rainy season, the Gulf side is dry and warm.

Songkran, Thai New Year in mid-April, is a three-day citywide water festival. It's brilliant if you want it, and something to plan around if you don't.

Questions we get asked

How much is a Thailand package from Dubai?

From around AED 6,200 per person twin-share for six nights in a Phuket pool villa with flights and private transfers. A Bangkok and Samui trip starts near AED 11,800 for eight nights, and a staffed private villa with yacht days starts near AED 26,000.

How long is the flight from Dubai to Thailand?

About six hours direct to Bangkok or Phuket. Thailand is three hours ahead of the UAE, so an overnight flight lands you with a full day ahead.

Phuket or Koh Samui?

It depends on the month more than the island. Phuket is best November to April. Samui is best roughly February to August. For dramatic scenery choose Phuket. For a quieter villa stay choose Samui.

Do UAE residents need a visa for Thailand?

Many passports qualify for visa-free entry or visa on arrival, but the rules depend on your nationality, not your UAE residency. We check this for every traveller in the party before we book.

Is Thailand good for a family trip from Dubai?

Very. Short flight, small time difference, and villa resorts built for families. The Bangkok-plus-beach shape works well with children, as long as Bangkok is kept to two nights.

We pick the coast by month, then the villa. That order is what makes the trip work.
